The piece of china featured in this pendant is from the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad China - Known as The Santa Fe Railroad. Mary Coulter of the Santa Fe, who is credited with this patterns invention, from the Mimbreno Series made by Syracuse China very strictly supervised this pattern. The pattern was to commemorate the ancient Mimbres Indians of New Mexico and the china was served on by the Santa Fe from 1937 to 1970. As a whole piece, the china is high dollar as it is highly collectible. The piece in this pendant is from a piece of broken china.
And what a great looking pendant it is! Bold and quite unusual! I chose serrated bezel to surround the piece of china, which features some of the geometric patterns used in the series. Also featured is my high polish technique – nice and shiny!
The pendant 1-3/16” (30 mm) by 1-1/2” (38 mm).
