The pieces of fossilized Walrus Ivory I set in these earrings are from some remnants of the old hunts that were unearthed on St. Lawrence Island, Alaska and ranges in age from 200 to 2,000 years.
I chose a serrated bezel to surround the ivory pieces and added tiny twisted wire around the face of the earrings.
The earrings hang from sterling silver leverback earwires for a length of 1-5/8” (41 mm) and the face of the earrings tapers from ¼” (6 mm) to about 3/4” (20 mm) at the widest.
My hallmark, which stands for “Buffalo-Eagle”, my name, Lita and STERLING is stamped on the back-side
