The turquoise featured in this beautiful sterling silver ring I designed and handmade is from the Morenci copper mine out of Greenlee County in southeastern Arizona. The Morenci turquoise pocket that was found there is highly prized for its beautiful blue colors, which vary from a light to a very dark blue. Also for its unusual matrix of iron pyrite or "fool’s gold" that when polished often resembles silver. The turquoise was a by-product of the Morenci copper mine in Arizona. It is now considered highly collectible.

What a great looking valuable stone this is weighing in at 35 carats! A beautiful classic piece of old mined Morenci turquoise! Bold and stately! I chose to surround the stone with plain bezel. Also featured is my hand stamped artistry on the band and my high polish technique – nice and shiny!

The ring is size 8-1/2. The band tapers from 3/8” (10 mm) to about ½” (13 mm) at the widest. The face of the ring is about 1” (26 mm) by 1-3/16 (30 mm).

My hallmark, which stands for “Buffalo-Eagle”, my name, Lita and STERLING is stamped on the inside of the band.
